Similarly, I would not be surprised if the few low ratings are not because people did not read or otherwise actually learn how to use this software. I used what must have been close to the first version for years, only becoming aware of this much more recent iteration only when the older one began to fail to make successful captures, so the only complaint/suggestion I have is that the fact of upgrades or similar new developments be better communicated to users. I am in the small minority in that I use a Macintosh computer, but have found that the conversion side of this app (mostly mp4 to mov when necessary) is both fast and accurate, as is the capture itself. I have and have bought a few capture apps, but this one is the one that is most reliable.
